Historically, ØKF sprang from the studying environment of Øresendskollegiat. Today, it is a self-standing football club with members from all areas of Copenhagen. A large portion of the members have moved to Copenhagen from Jutland, Zealand and Funen.

ØKF was founded in the fall of 1997, and since then has grown very rapidly. Today, the club has 8 men’s tournament teams at the senior level including a seven aside team, and 2 women’s teams, an 11 and a 7 man squad.

The clubs men’s first team is in the 2nd series, and the rest of the teams are distributed down through the levels. The teams are grouped by ability. We have players from all ranges of abilities: those who have been youth national team players and some who have never played in a club before.

Payment for this club is one of Denmark’s lowest. It costs 375kr per half year for students and 450 for those who have jobs.

Facilities- ØKF plays at Kløvermarkens Idrætslæg, which is on Amager, not far from Christianshavn, and a short bike ride from Copenahgen.

Address is: Kløvermarksvej 50. We use locker room 18 for the guy's and 48 for the girl's teams.

In the normal season, we play on Tuesdays and Thursdays on the grass fields at Kløvermarken. In the winter, we have a turf field on Mondays and Wednesdays split between the Men’s teams, and Tuesdays for the Women’s team. Training times vary after the early part of the year. You can call any of the coaches or the chairman to hear more about the facilities.

Social – In ØKF, there is a big emphasis put on the social aspect. The club prides itself on the members having a good time, and it is always good to have new members.

The social center is obviously football playing, but the clubs traditions with many social arrangements is a way to improve team dynamics and strength within the club.

The club has at least 2 parties a season, including closing parties for both seasons.
